any single asian woman in their late 30′s/early 40′s? please help?

i’m in my late twenties and i totally dig this lady at my work who’s in her late 30′s. she honestly doesn’t look any older than i do and looks smokin’ hot which is probably why i’m so jocking her. she’s asian and seem to be more asian influenced than americanized. i’m asian myself but a different race than her and have hardly any asian influence. not to sound racist, but from previous experience, american influenced woman seem to understand more in dating younger than an asian influenced. is this true? a few years back, i dated a girl who was 9 yrs older than me for about a year, then we broke up because of the age issue. she was asian influenced and she couldn’t get past the fact that her peers/family may not accept us. was she an exception or does all woman in this situation would respond the same way? do all woman at this age only look for a specific type of guy to marry before it’s too late or are they still open to date the underdogs like myself?
